Afternoon tea was fantastic - wide range of freshly made sandwiches and cakes, with unlimited hot drinks. Our host Chantal was really attentive and could not have done more for us. Really pleasant afternoon that's highly recommended. Thanks!

Literally the worst service I've ever experienced. It was like going to a Karen restaurant. Kitchen staff coming out and shouting who's got what because they got literally everyone's order wrong then blamed us. 🤣 then brought food out without cutlery for like 20 mins before they gave you some. Front of house staff arguing back, or slamming things down and giving dirty looks when they walked past it was an absolute joke. The food however when it did eventually.turn up was nice but its just not worth all the tutting and the attitude

If I could give this company 0 stars I would! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! My friends unfortunately wasted time booking this wedding venue only to be extremely disappointed by the continuous poor condition of the place. They had been back to the venue for lunch ect a few times, and each time they returned the uncleanliness of the site only became worse. The last wedding was three weeks ago and as you can see from the images of the porterloo’s hadn’t been cleaned since! 🤢 They do not look after the marque as you can clearly see it’s all green and was extremely dirty, and as for tending to their gardens this again is something they ever so clearly do not do. Your wedding day is meant to be the best day of your life, to see your venue in such a poor state coming up so close to your wedding is devastating. If you are thinking of booking this place do yourself a favour and don’t. These standards are extremely unhealthy and unsanitary. Go somewhere else where they take cleaning seriously. Do not waste your money here !!

Booked our wedding here, had to cancel as every time we go to look around we get promised it gets cleaned yet the condition gets worse and worse with another excuse. Rang to ask for our deposit back as this is just unacceptable and we get told that “it’s going to get cleaned and the portaloos aren’t part of the wedding” but yet we got told they are so another lie. Regardless just shows the standards of the place. Got told the last wedding was 3 weeks ago, has it been left to fester since then? Guy on the phone was extremely arrogant and said he will now take it all down and clean it all to prove the pics are wrong. Unfortunately it shouldn’t take this to clean your wedding venue and keep it up to basic standards. It’s people most important day and you clearly are not bothered. I’d take your business else were as this place has 0 interest, all about the money. Appalling hopefully they use our deposit to buy a cleaner and gardener

Went for the first time on Saturday and I thought the food was absolutely outstanding.
The chips are absolutely to die for, they're so good I might even just get two plates if chips next time it an extra portion to go with my meal.
The price is very reasonable for the quality and what you get and the setting is unreal.
I'll definitely be going back on a regular basis.
Staff couldn't be anymore helpful either, super venue.

My wife & I have just completed 3 visits in less than a week, Tuesday lunchtime, Saturday lunchtime and Sunday evening, a total of 17 courses between us. The food was mostly excellent, bar the southern fried chicken goujons on the Tuesday lunchtime which were a bit overcooked (although very good on the Sunday evening) and a portion of chips on the Tuesday lunchtime that was both cold & hard, suggesting it was the end of a batch that had been standing awhile. At least the Tuesday lunchtime food came with 50% discount, so thank you for that. One sirloin steak ordered medium by my wife on the Sunday evening was rather more rare than she would have liked, and was more like my sirloin steak ordered medium rare on the same evening, which was both tender and very tasty. Good scampi and super steak & ale pie, but the sausages weren't up to much, although their accompaniments were. Great peas, petit pois actually, and fresh vegetables not overcooked. The standout dessert was the cornflake tart which was divine, I had it twice, and it didn't matter to me that it was served with traditional custard rather than the pink custard on the menu. Disappointing that some desserts seemed to be in short supply. The staff were all good, but special mention must go to the lovely Beth, the young lady with the pigtails and most engaging smile, who was very pleasant indeed. Music a little too loud for us, but you're never going to satisfy everyone on that, both on volume & content.

Come here once in a month for some good old grub, food is always amazing. You get big portions for the price you pay! Can be really busy so food can take a little longer then a chain pub but the food here is much better. Plus they have the best chips :) small selection of beers on tap but enough to cover :) can not fault this place.
